BIOGRAPHY

Samantha Cristoforetti is an ESA astronaut and Italian Air Force pilot and engineer. She first flew on Soyuz TMA-15M for Expedition 42/43, setting the record for longest uninterrupted spaceflight by a European. She flew again on SpaceX Crew-4 and became the first European woman to command the ISS during Expedition 68.
