The Federal Aviation Administration has released the final Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) for SpaceX's launch site in Boca Chica, Texas. SpaceX have been granted a "Mitigated FONSI" which indicates the FAA found no major concerns however SpaceX are required to implement mitigations for concerns provided by the FAA. With the completion of the PEA, the next step for SpaceX is to work towards acquiring a launch licence for the first Orbital Flight Test and to complete all required vehicle and ground system testing required to perform a launch.

On February 11th, Elon Musk gave a much anticipated update to the Starship program - with the backdrop of a fully stacked Starship and Booster on the launch pad - Musk detailed SpaceX's plan to continue development of Starship from Boca Chica with operational launches likely to take place out of Cape Canaveral. SpaceX is still targeting 2021 for the first orbital flight attempt out of Boca Chica, Texas pending FAA approval.
